Current students, prospective students and alumni, welcome to the University of Alabama’s Academic Honor Council’s official website. The Academic Honor Council is committed to strengthening a culture of integrity here at the University. The purpose of the council is most clearly summarized by the Capstone Creed: “As a member of the University of Alabama community, I will pursue knowledge; act with fairness, honesty, and respect; foster individual and civic responsibility; and strive for excellence”. The honor council works so that every student can realize the ideals of the Creed and pursue knowledge and strive for excellence beginning in the classroom.

Our work this year is focused first on networking with professors and administrators. We are working to identify our campus’ needs and to create a community of students, professors and administrators who are as committed to academic integrity as we are. Council members work tirelessly on classroom- focused initiatives that meet the needs of students working to make honor a part of their everyday lives.
